The American Association of Orthodontists is a resource for parents to learn more about orthodontic treatments and provides general tips on how to achieve healthy, beautiful smiles, get braces-friendly recipes, and find an orthodontist near you by using the Find an Orthodontist Locator service (http://braces.org).
Why should you choose an orthodontist? Orthodontists receive an additional two-to-three years of specialized education beyond dental school to learn the proper way to align and straighten teeth.

I’m working with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and talked to Mommy.TV about sharing some information on braces and orthodontists with your community.
The AAO is a great resource for questions about oral health for your little ones - they provide tips on knowing if/when your child may need braces, and also when to 1st take your kids to seen an orthodontist (they recommend by age 7, btw!).
